Step into our fantastical world and journey through the Kirkstall ruins to untangle your favourite fairy tales.

The magical creatures of the fairy tale world have tumbled into Kirkstall Abbey for this very special weekend in the summer, where Fairies, Goblins, Gnomes and funny little men in funny little hats all gather to celebrate the tales that intertwine and weave them together.

You’ll meet Rumplestiltskin, a Prince Charming, Cinders, the Wicked Witch, Little Red Riding Hood, the Meddlesome Fairy and lots of other fairies and Goblins that walk the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey.

For the fairies and goblins event at kirkstall 19th and 20th august, will the the morning and afternoon be aimed at different ages or not. It seems the similar event advertised in June was so just want to check? Many thanks

Hi, we will not be providing events for different aged children on this occasion as we do understand some families have children in different age brackets. Instead, all performances will be on a rolling programme, performing to different ages intermittently. So for instance 1pm Stage1 will be aimed at up to 5 years and Stage2 will be aimed at up to 10yrs. Then they swap over. There are approx 10 different performance areas, so plenty to see and take part in for all ages. Hope that makes sense, it’s not the easiest to describe – we will be providing a full programme prior to the event so everyone knows what is on where an when. Thanks.

  2. Anna says:

hi is this on sat 19th and sun 20th August or just on the sat? thanks

  3. Jessica says:

Do you have to pay for adults as well?

  4. Lynda says:

Is there a pay on the gate option or is it advance booking only.
    Thank you

Hi, as tickets are flying out, we cannot guarantee there will be any left to buy on the door. If you can, we recommend you purchase in advance to save disappointment. Hope that helps.
